As Kyrie Irving prepares to potentially embark on a 2020-21 NBA Playoff run without Kevin Durant, the Brooklyn Nets guard has unveiled his Nike Kyrie 7 in style hinting at the inner workings of his mind.
Dressed in “Pale Ivory/Chlorine Blue/Black”, the future basketball sneaker features the performance-oriented details that have emerged on a handful of Irving’s previous signature shoes. Composite mesh and molded plastic overlays provide a breathable, lightweight and durable construction, while accents on the tongue, profiles and around the heel provide a playful touch. Still, this Kyrie 7’s most notable details show up on the spine, as disparate graphics wink at two sides. Irving blends as part of not only his cerebral and creative play on the court, but also his non-linear approach to life; Arithmetic-like “equations” are featured alongside seemingly freehand doodles, and are accompanied by a split-style arrangement also found on the outsole and upper.
