Earlier in January, Sneaker Room’s Suraj Kaufman and Kyrie Irving continued their late mothers’ sneaker legacy with the latest chapter in their collaborative partnership. The two formed a bond over their shared experience of losing their mother, expressing that mutual connection through shoe accents on Kyrie Irving’s signature shoes. While the shoes are usually exclusive to Sneaker Room, the recent emergence of official images from Nike gives us hope that a wider release could be coming soon.
Even though there’s no scheduled drop, we’re treated to a detailed gallery of all the hidden details that arguably made the Kyrie 7 their best yet. Dubbed the “Fire & Water”, this Kyrie 7 design explains the related nature of the elements and Mother Nature. The left shoe is predominantly a magma red one, while the right shoe contrasts a refreshing blue. The second “Air & Earth” pair sees a similar composition, but you can see them exist here via the green and orange clay tongues.
There are a plethora of details and accents that are unmatched by any other Kyrie 7 release. These four elements appear via embossed logos on the forefoot teeth, while a “MOM” logo appears on the left tab drawn in the same way as the Kyrie shield logo.
Again, a release isn’t confirmed nor are we suggesting it might happen, but hopefully we’ll be pleasantly surprised. We’ve already been months into the Kyrie Infinity release cycle, but seeing how the Kyrie 7 “Alternate Weatherman” released not too long ago, there’s still hope for a release. See official images to come.
