As Kevin Durant continues to recover from issues on and off the court, the 32-year-old has unofficially unveiled the Nike KD 14. Along with a “Black/White” colorway compatible with the Brooklyn Nets, the new silhouette will also be launched. in a vibrant multi-color option.
Although specific technical details have not been disclosed, the upcoming pair maintains a mix of fabrics, synthetics and textiles on the upper. Composite mesh bases visible under the top layer of the upper feature an eye-catching lime green tone while the aforementioned overlay indulges in a “white” makeup. The midfoot lockdown straps, which have been absent from Durant’s line since the KD 7 and resemble Kyrie Irving‘s old sneakers, also offer a pop of bright green. Tabs and heel support structures also contribute to the shoe’s loud aesthetic, but they’re accompanied (and arguably overshadowed) by the near-rainbow layout that takes over the multi-directional tread under foot. Finally, a full-length Zoom Air Strobel works in tandem with encapsulated Zoom Air in the forefoot to deliver responsive cushioning.
