The most eye-catching detail to point out about these court-ready kicks is the strap return – an element notably associated with Durant’s previous Nike KD 4 and KD 7 silhouettes. Coupled with the strap, an Air Presto-inspired cage rests on the mid-panel. Elsewhere on the upper, the engineered mesh features intricately styled graphics that symbolize the Nets’ All-Star interests such as art, music and more.
Down below, kicks are bolstered by a full-length Zoom Air Strobel cushioning system that gives wearers a low-to-the-ground, responsive feel.
“It’s been a while since we’ve incorporated the strap, which excites me,” Durant says of his new product. “My other favorite part of the shoe is the cushioning, which helps me feel low to the ground and always helps give me some of that energy back.”
The Nike KD 14 “Black/White” colorway will launch on April 10th globally and April 14th in North America. The “Cyber” iteration of the model will be released on April 11 exclusively in China.
