For his new offering, the Brooklyn Nets superstar opts to scale down his new model to a mid-profile and uses a two-layer upper that features a synthetic underlay and overlapping abstract patterns. This inaugural colorway fills the former with a punchy orange hue, while the latter contrasts in pitch black. Perhaps the most intriguing component of the shoe is the midfoot, as it brings back the locking strap similar to the KD 4 and KD 7, along with a medial side cage reminiscent of the Nike Air Presto. Beneath the Presto-inspired piece, tonal tick marks total 14 to nod to its new model. More details to highlight include that of KD’s logo that sits on the tongues, in addition to the synthetic heel counters that are encrusted with wave-like textures.
