Nike KD 14 Black Red CW3935-001 Release Date

A major part of Kevin Durant’s season has been taken away from him due to his serious hamstring injury, but as he rests on the sidelines, he takes the opportunity to make some noise by unveiling his new signature shoe: the Nike KD 14. The new silhouette is very different from the KD 13 and features a duo of interlocking elements that are mixed with playfully styled uppers.

For his new offering, the Brooklyn Nets superstar opts to scale down his new model to a mid-profile and uses a two-layer upper that features a synthetic underlay and overlapping abstract patterns. This inaugural colorway fills the former with a punchy orange hue, while the latter contrasts in pitch black. Perhaps the most intriguing component of the shoe is the midfoot, as it brings back the locking strap similar to the KD 4 and KD 7, along with a medial side cage reminiscent of the Nike Air Presto. Beneath the Presto-inspired piece, tonal tick marks total 14 to nod to its new model. More details to highlight include that of KD’s logo that sits on the tongues, in addition to the synthetic heel counters that are encrusted with wave-like textures.

Similar to Paul George’s Nike models, this hardwood-ready proposition brings a full-length Zoom Air strobile cushioning system.

Retailers have this new model on sale April 17, 2021 for US$150 through Nike and select retailers.

Elsewhere in the footwear world, Nike Basketball has just unveiled its new “Greater Than” sneaker series.
