Kyrie Irving and Concepts have been forming collaborative cohorts since the release of the
Mesh uppers are dressed in a bright ocean blue, while the midsoles take on bright orange tones for a color blocking scheme similar to that seen on the SB Dunk Low “Gulf”. Although it is a coincidence, the wide range of special details is entirely intentional. The lateral side is outfitted with a metallic gold winged Swoosh, while the lateral side features a large gold Eye of Horus graphic, one of Kyrie’s signature symbols. The lace anchor and two lower eyelets feature more special Egyptian symbols, ranging from an all-seeing eye to an ankh.
The tongues and laces change to a powder blue for contrast, and the right shoe swaps out its standard Kyrie tongue and insole for Concepts hits. White and blue gingham embroidery on the collar lining recalls images from Concepts’ SB Dunk Low “Lobster” collection, with more gold Concepts logos embroidered on each heel. An Air Zoom Turbo unit is loaded into the angled midsole for an exemplary feel, and the look is completed with a “44 1/2” detail on the outsole and “His Legacy Is Going to Live On Forever” text that s wraps around the back.
As of this writing, the official release date and pricing information for the Concepts x Nike Kyrie 7 has yet to be revealed. However, it will likely debut later this year.
